Vajradhara
Der Vajradhara wird in Indien, Nepal und Tibet über China bis hin nach Japan verehrt.
Er gilt gemäß des tibetischen Buddhismus als der Ur-Buddha bzw. Adibuddha.
Vajradhara bedeutet auch umgangssprachlich Diamanten Buddha
und repräsentiert die Essenz des historischen Buddhas Erkenntnis der Erleuchtung.
Die Darstellung:
Der Vajradhara Buddha trägt den Schmuck des Sambhogakaya und wird daher mit einem
fünfzackigen Kopfschmuck, Halskette und Armreifen abgebildet.
In seiner rechten Hand trägt er den Vajra und in der linken Hand die Glocke (Ghanta).
Dies gilt als Versinnbildlichung der Vereinigung von Gegensätzen, da der Vajra männlich ist und das Mitgefühl symbolisiert,
während die Glocke weiblich ist und Weisheit verkörpert.
Durch das Kreuzen der Arme wird diese Vereinigung versinnbildlicht.
